Volunteerism

Volunteering has always been a component in Aimee's life from a very young age. Her parents instilled in her the value and treasure of donating her time, talents, or money to help others.  Whether it was picking out Christmas gifts for children less fortunate, entertaining people through community theatre, spending time with elderly that were otherwise alone, singing at a senior care centers, teaching religious education to first graders, or so many other countless opportunities she's seized in her life to make a difference.  It's no surprise that she found herself serving 12 years on the University of St. Thomas Alumni Board of Directors serving as both President of the Alumni Association and later as a member of the University of St. Thomas Board of Trustees during her tenure.

Her heart has always been open to meeting new people, learning new things, and trying to make the world a better place.  From the time she was little and introducing herself to strangers to present day, her heart's in the right place.  Almost always with a smile on her face or determination set in her eyes, through utilizing her talents to help those in need to spear-heading grand sweeping changes, she's proven herself a leader and a true volunteer.
"Strengths are made to be expressed.  We call those expressions skills.  A skill is a strength expressed in a specific way that builds up and benefits others."
